St Andrews Old Course

Need we say more?

St Andrews 1st, 2nd, 17th and 18th Old Course

St Andrews - Home of Golf

What is there to say about the Old Course at St Andrews that hasn’t already been said?  This course is on more bucket lists than any other Scottish golf course and while the famous Old Course itself can’t possibly live up to the expectation, just being in St Andrews, the town, with so many golf courses to choose from in a rarefied atmosphere is a memory that lives long in the mind.

You now know how iconic these 3 golf courses are. You would like this amazing experience and need to know the next step to making it happen.

Carnoustie Golf Links - famous Open venue

St Andrews - Not just the Old Course

There is a lot more to St Andrews than just the Old Course. There are 10 golf courses in the town area and many more not far outside. The British Golf Museum is definitely worth a visit.

Prince William studied at St Andrews University and in the streets he would walk with Kate Middleton as he courted the future Queen.  It is a town of luxury with many high end eateries and accommodation yet still maintaining a local feel and old style charm.

Carnoustie Golf Links

3 Courses at Carnousite – The Championship is the Open venue and that of the Alfred Dunhill Links

Carnoustie 18th

Open venue 2018, and many other years

Its gets better. Carnoustie has been the venue for the Open Championship on 8 occasions including most recently 2018, where Francesco Molinari was the winner. Now you can enjoy this classic Scottish links golf course oozing history.

Carnoustie Golf Links  Open Championship has hosted golf’s oldest major on eight occasions 1931, 1937, 1953, 1968, 1975, 1999, 2007, 2018.

Among other great competitions Carnoustie was the venue for the Senior Open Championship in 2010 and 2016 and the Women’s British Open in 2011.

Kingsbarns - short hop from St Andrews

The small village of Kingsbarns is just 6 miles south of St Andrews. Just south of the village, on the land owned by Cambo Estate, sits a world class championship links opened as recently as 2000 yet already very much part of the establishment.

That has a lot to do with history, as golf has been played on these links, on and off, since 1793.

Oh, and there is a whisky distillery just 1 mile south of the golf club.

Kingsbarns Golf Links

Sand dune rolling fairways make this the most “linksy” of the 3 Dunhill courses

20 Years Of Warm Welcome...

Kingsbarns has hosted many top events such as the Rioch British Women’s Open in 2017.
However it has become a staple top course as a result of hosting the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the pro-am event on the European Tour.

Hugh Grant

“Kingsbarns is always lovely. There are so many golfers who I’ve spoken to all over the world who say it’s an amazing place, and it is.”

“It’s a very clever course because it’s modern but it’s old and it looks like it has been there for a million years.”
