World famous Open Championship venue of Muirfield is east of Edinburgh on part of a stretch of land from the ancient Scottish capital city to North Berwick and beyond known as the ‘Golf Coast’.
The world’s oldest golf club, Musselburgh Old Course, is there, as are some of the newest high class golf resorts of Archerfield and The Renaissance Club (host of the 2019 Scottish Open). However, most come to play the famous old links golf courses there where golf began.

Day 1 : Arrive into Scotland and be welcomed by your Ultimate Golf Service representative who will assist with your luggage and help you navigate easily from the airport. Depending upon your chosen itinerary this will be by taxi to nearby hotel, to the airport rental car desk or by Ultimate Golf Service collection and transfer vehicle to your hotel.

The Famous Open Championship venue. Host to 10 British Opens
Muirfield has host the Open on 10 occasions, most recently in 2013 when Phil Mickelson won his first major.
The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, now based at Muirfield, holds the claim of being the oldest verifiable organised golf club in the world, although the game of golf is several centuries older. The club\’s records date continuously back to 1744, when it produced thirteen \”Rules of Golf\” for its first competition which was played at Leith Links for the \”Silver Club\”.
Longniddry golf club – perfect blend
Longniddry Golf Club is the first links golf club east of Edinburgh with the exception of Musselburgh Old Course. It heralds the start of a string of links courses that is real beginning of the Golf Coast. No par 5 holes make it sounds short but there are many long par 4s and many deep links bunkers.
It is a very welcoming place and more forgiving with the wind blows as there is good tree cover on the opening 10 holes.
